Things to do in Lake Lure North Carolina

Lake Lure North Carolina is filled with fun activities for individuals, groups or families. I have listed below the main attractions of the area starting with the closest. If possible, a link to the attractions website is provided.

The Beach & Waterworks – Located in downtown Lake Lure and surrounded by the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains.  Groomed daily and well maintained.  Has a roped off area for safety, a waterslide, showers and a picnic area.

Lake Lure Tours – Enjoy a wonderful guided tour of Lake Lure on a large, covered pontoon boat. See all the historic sites including the Lake Lure Inn and the site of the Dirty Dancing Move.  Tour lasts about 1 hour.

Allure Spa – Located in the historic Lake Lure Inn.  Enjoy a day or just an hour.  Massages, nail treatments, facials and more.

Boat Rentals at the Lake Lure Marina – Rent a canoe, kayak, paddle boat or a pontoon boat and take a tour of the lake at your leisure.

Lake Lure Municipal Golf Course – Wonderful 9 hole golf course.  Leave Seton Road and go left and its just a few miles away.  Rates are reasonable and the course is beautiful.  Carts, clubs and balls available for rent.

Wyndham Fairfield Mountains Golf Course – 2 Beautiful courses.  A little further away than the Lake Lure course but not too bad.  Located at the very end of the lake.  Cross the dam and look for the Fairfield Mountains Resort.
